More kitchen, no lime green.

My family moved house a lot when I was growing up but until I moved out, I had never lived anywhere that was more than 15 years old. True, modern brick homes are comfortable and convenient but I've always dreamed of ghosts and secret rooms. The house my boyfriend and I are renting now is about eighty (?) years old and while sadly lacking in the supernatural, does have the original wood burning oven.

We have never fired it up so I use it instead to display some of my op-shop fine bone china and a cute teapot and cup set my sister, Sarah, gave me. Hopefully they distract from the extremely ugly tiles. The photo above is of my best girl Kle holding a tea cup. The fifties tea set cost me $20 from Savers, my happy place. I'm tempted to make scones in the oven like a good Australian wifie but am hampered by my inability to cook or chop wood.
